Who’s ready for a life update?!

Hey there! If you’re new, welcome, if you’ve been a reader since day 1 or anywhere in between, welcome back!

In case you hadn’t noticed, I haven’t written a blog in over a year, and there’s been a good reason for that! Over the last 12 months I’ve done a heck of a lot of soul searching and made some major (very positive) life alterations. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s been going on:

| Work |

  • I got a new job! This self-proclaimed social media guru has left the world of social media to pursue a career in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and Website work! I now work at a small marketing agency and absolutely love the work I do! (Get ready for some blogs about SEO! It’s such a fascinating layer of the internet that I can’t wait to share with all of you!)

| Love Life |

  • I’m in a relationship! That’s right folks, the girl who wrote about being unapologetically single is in a relationship! His name is David and he’s wonderful and amazing and all the other gushy mushy relationship words I could use to describe him! All I’ll say is being in a healthy romantic relationship is the best! As our relationship continues to grow and progress, I’ll be sure to blog about date ideas and other relationship related things! Also, fun fact, we met online- thanks internet (don’t worry, I’ll eventually write about that story ๐Ÿ™‚ )! Another fun fact, did you know that I offer a service to help others find love online? Check it out and let me know how I can help you with your online love pursuits!

  • One of the biggest changes though? Switching up the content I blog about. From now on you can expect to see more lifestyle, SEO + Social tips and tricks, video game/book reviews and other random every day content! I know, I know, some of you might be upset to hear that I will no longer be blogging about my ED recovery or other related topics, but I see this as a step in the right direction for me. I’ve hidden a lot of my old blog posts regarding my recovery, not because they were “bad” or I “didn’t like them” but I feel as though I’m in a really solid place in this chapter of my life and I’m ready to start talking about things that light my soul on fire! You have gotten to know “ED and recovery Becca”, so now it’s time to get to know me outside of my ED! So get ready! It’ll be fun, I promise! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for sticking with me through all the changes and the year-long spell of me being MIA, I so so appreciate it!

Here’s to a refreshed, fun, and always interesting The Persistent Pineapple! Enjoy!

p.s.- Is there a particular topic you’d like me to write about? Let me know here!

Wherever you’re at, welcome- I’m so glad you found this blog post (it’s a good one ๐Ÿ™‚ )!ย Read More

my playlist for life

my playlist for life 7

Music is a powerful thing. It’s gotten me through some of the best and worst times of my life. Whether I’ve felt happy, sad, joyful confused, excited, angry, or anything in between, music has been there for me- making the most profound impact on my life. To me, it doesn’t matter what genre of music it is- I love it all (except screamo…my ears can’t take that haha). I love the feeling I get when I connect to a song. Read More

6 gifts to give yourself this holiday season 8

It’s the holiday season, which means you’re probably being inundated with “gift guides” from all across the internet, but have you ever noticed that gift guides are for everyone in your life…except you? I have good news, this is not a gift guide for other people, this is a gift guide for you! Although I love this time of year and love giving gifts even more, I don’t think we ever really stop and think about the gifts we should give ourselves.ย Read More

The 14 Things You Need to Experience in Tucson, Arizona

The 14 Things You Need to Experience in Tucson, Arizona 9

I just finished my first trip to Tucson, Arizona and let me tell you, it was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken! I never really thought of Tucson as a place I would like to travel to, but since my mom was house sitting for a friend and offered for me to come and visit, I thought “why not!” My mom and I ventured all over the city (which is ginormous btw- 227 square miles to be exact!) to take in some of the best eats, sights, and shops! If you’re planning a trip to Tucson or never even thought about visiting until you read this, I hope this post will help make your decision and planning that much easier!Read More

On Being Unapologetically Single

On Being Unapologetically Single 10

For the past 4 years I’ve been single and for roughly 2 of those years I’ve been unapologetically single. You may be wondering “what does being unapologetically single even mean”? Well, it means exactly how it sounds- not expressing regret for being single and that includes not only to the world, but also to yourself.ย Now don’t think this post is just for you, single people- that’s right, it’s also for people who are in relationships! I can guarantee you that if you aren’t unapologetically single yourself, you know someone who is. Read More

Why a Social Media Cleanse Could Do You Some Good

Why a Social Media Cleanse Could Do You Some Good 11

Let’s talk about social media. It can be both a blessing and a curse, both good and evil, and both positive and negative.

In this day and age we spend as much time, if not more time, on social media than we do with actual people. I’m not going to lie, as both a millennial and a full-time social media professional I spend a huge chunk of my time scrolling through social media feeds. I’ll see things that will make me laugh, learn, and smile, but I’ll also run into things that make me upset or trigger my eating disorder (ED) thoughts to surface. When this happens, I’ve had to learn how to deal with it and, for me, that means unfollowing or deleting people I follow.Read More

The 6 Beauty Products I Swear By 12

Note: This post may contain affiliate links!

I’m the kind of person who will try out a million beauty products before I find something I absolutely love, so it’s safe to say I’ve experienced my fair share of products! Funny enough, more often than not the products that end up being my favorite are drug store brands! Not going to lie, I love me some Lorac eyeshadow and Too Faced mascara, but I can’t afford to buy those items on the regular (#BallinOnABudget). Favorite products have come and gone throughout the years, but these 6 have stayed with me the whole way! Maybe you’ve heard of all of them, or maybe you’ve heard of none of them- either way I hope you discover some of your new favorite products in mine! Read More
